Get Shocked By The All-Electric MINI E

So, you always had the hots for the Mini Cooper huh? That’s okay because you’re only one of the many thousands, if not millions, who’d want to have this sexy ride. And you’ll be gladder to know that the Mini is coming out with a better variant to satisfy nature-friendly people and budget-conscious car owners. Take a look at the electric Mini Cooper people.

Dubbed as the MINI E, this ride boasts a range of 150 miles from its 35 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. With this power source, the MINI E is capable of reaching 62 mph in just 8.5 seconds. Plus, the charging time for the battery pack only takes a mere 2.5 hours. And there’s also a regenerative braking system that helps toughen up the MINI E while its cruising on the road.

The word is this baby will be released to the lucky people of California, New York and New Jersey around early 2009. Those folks too at Europe could also have the MINI E sometime after that. But if you can’t wait a second longer, pack up your things and be prepared to stalk the MINI E at the LA Auto Show this November because its full details might leak out.
